Blaenavon is a small town in the industrial South Wales valleys, traditionally part of Monmouthshire. Home to several layers of industrial architecture and archaeology documenting the history of the industrial revolution, much of the area is preserved as a World Heritage Site. Museums in the town include the 18th century ironworks, the 20th century "Big Pit" coal mine, and a preserved section of railway. More on Wikipedia...
