Also written as Rammohun Roy, Raja Rammohon Rae, or Raja Ram Mohun Roy. Nineteenth century Indian (Bengali) statesman who died in Bristol when petitioning the British government for reforms and women's rights, such as the outlaw of sati, the Hindu custom of burning widows on their husband's funeral pyre. He was originally buried at Stapleton to the north of the city, until Arnos Vale cemetery opened. The grade I listed tomb was constructed in 1843. The cemetery became very overgrown in the mid-late 20th century, and is currently undergoing restoration -- this tomb will be restored with the aid of money raised by the Mayor of Calcutta.

Dramatiic colours and perspektive. Seems like the angel is a guardian of the tomb and boosts the atmosphere. Great! Return from Pay It Forward

Thanks everyone! I have now submitted this to JPEG Magazine here, replacing the earlier version. I might be pushing the JPEG Mag rules slightly, but the previous submission was struggling a little.
