Benn attributes his longevity to his annual trip to the Tolpuddle Festival. I've forgotten where he was in the speech at this exact moment, but I seem to recall the arm gestures was part of an anecdote about somebody.

Great shot Joe; you're right - we must have been stood only feet apart amongst all the paparazzi! Shame about the weather, but listening to such inspirational figures as Tony Benn always lifts the gloom. Hope you had a good time at the festival.
