The Clifton Suspension Bridge is an Isambard Kingdom Brunel design constructed in the 1850s-60s. The 1,352 ft (414 m) span crosses the tidal River Avon 245 ft (75 m) below. The limestone gorge forms a spectacular defensive entrance to the city's docks.

This was taken from beside the Brunel Way, on one of those rare occasions: high tide on the Avon.
