The River Severn is Britain's longest river, rising in mid Wales and taking a circuitous route through Wales and England. Where it flows into the Atlantic Ocean it has created a huge inlet, the Bristol Channel, separating the South West peninsula from South Wales. Most of these photos were taken in the Bristol area. For more photos further inland, see the Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Devon and Wales galleries.
